  1. So if you handle paperwork then that’s needed over those that do the physical work? With so many needed cuts I would think that some management positions could be cut back big time with the lack of things that need to be managed. But this is the way it works all over not just in government. The folks that are being directed/managed on what to do lose their jobs and we lose the services while those that have created the work and the process keep on keeping on.
Now is the time to look closer at everything we do and how many it takes to manage it. I wouldn’t doubt that some can be combined. I have found that in some cases less management results in better process and bottom-up improvements, less filters to mess up the ideas.
We all can step it up a bit with trash clearing and maybe cut some grass if you live nearby the park area, just don’t hurt yourself or damge anything and expect the City to fix it and you.

  2. We volunteered to start removing the large amount of graffiti in Lincoln Park that was allowed to accumulate.

The City said we couldn’t remove the graffiti.

  3. I’m certain that the graffiti creators didn’t have permission from the City to leave it there.
    Anonymous “artists” deserve anonymous heroes.

  4. You be that anonymous hero if you want. Just accept the ticket from the bylaw officer in good humour; no good deed goes unpunished.
