  1. Good for Ashley Grimm standing up and refusing to shut up. Too bad the other County Commissioners aren’t standing up for Ashley’s ability to speak without harassment. Hmmm…I recall when newly elected Annie Harala was on the Duluth School Board and led the effort to remove another school board member for speaking up (that was me–and she failed). Apparently, good government in St. Louis Co is still defined by getting everyone that doesn’t agree with you to shut up.

    • Ashley Grimm represents our district (3) with honor and respect for ALL. We couldn’t have a better person on the commission. As for this guy Nelson, he does not reflect the community he represents or at least I hope he doesn’t. If they elect him again I guess that will settle it. Our county can do better and it must. He has been on the board way too long.

      Nelson should have this on his table top in place of his name:

      “Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely!”
