  1. This backstory is fascinating. Here is one fine example of native-born American who is so selflessly doing his own bit to keep out those unsavory–can’t be trusted Central Americans. Remember the Alamo! when the USA was grabbing a large hunk of Mexican territory. We called it Texas.

    • I knew Jim Benvie when he was a baby. He was a baby sitting in a high chair. He couldn’t hold his head up. His mother let him lie on a bed without interacting with him. I knew both of his parents. His father ended up in prison. His mother was into drugs. Neither were capable of taking care of him. The people that took him in, they loved him. They also loved his parents. Jim and Kim Benvie were not bad people. Jim and Kim were people that we all know. They are your neighbors. This is a very sad story. Dan and Dorothy, the people that took him in, they only wanted the best for him. He was loved. Where this hatred for Mexicans comes from, I don’t understand. It’s all about anger. Anger about anybody. Anger about anyone. I hope he finds peace.
