The best source that I have found for 990 searches is Candid.org, which is run through the Foundation Center. It’s free and doesn’t cut you off after a certain number of searches, like Guidestar does.
Yes, report them. I did- it’s easy and fun, and provides job security to our IRS investigative department. Also anonymous, if you check the box saying you ‘fear retaliation or retribution’.
I didn’t mention the IRS are the ones I actually fear.
