  1. You can also find 990s on the IRS website where they have been available since the requirement for public availability came about a few years back. Once the submissions have been accepted and processed by the IRS they become available here: https://apps.irs.gov/app/eos/

    Much better than relying on Guidestar, which as you note, is often not up-to-date and has incomplete information.

  2. Yes, report them. I did- it’s easy and fun, and provides job security to our IRS investigative department. Also anonymous, if you check the box saying you ‘fear retaliation or retribution’.

    I didn’t mention the IRS are the ones I actually fear.

  3. It’s so interesting, reading the facts: total budget. Highest salary. The compliant ones are probably glad that someone noticed them doing the right thing.
