  1. It would be smart for her to answer with an update of any kind. I imagine parts are hard to get in the situation we are in today. Who knows where they come trompé

  2. I did chat with a retired elevator maintenance guy about this topic. He said it’s not unusual for some units be out for long periods of time depending on the type and issue. The one type he mentioned that can be a big issue is the hydraulic units that are often used on shorter buildings, They may require getting down within the cylinder area that is at least as deep as it is able to travel up. In some cases they need to get permits and more depending on the work and issue.

    Not sure why the building folks don’t want to inform the Monitor much but one could assume they need to cover their ass in case the news source misinterprets whatever they share. It happens all too often.
