  1. You are spot on. There was no “plan” in place showing which streets would be prioritized for repair; City just threw them all in and called it the Street Improvement Program. What is also interesting is the language about every street in the City being an integral part of the regional transportation system. Really?? Every street?

    What is also compelling is the cost of maintaining and making improvements on this many streets in a city much reduced in population from the 70s. Even with additional 1/2 percent sales tax, there will continue to be insufficient funding because the obligation is so big. Infrastructure was built without consideration as to if it could all be maintained.

  2. I am not voting for the Mayor or anybody involved if they cater to the hospital for street repairs, I voted for her and I am very disappointed in the fact side streets are in terrible condition and if this money goes to the hospital who has lots of money I will vote for anyone else!
