Many folks and organizations have been working towards this result. This includes a free press such as the Duluth Monitor, Duluth Reader, and the DNT. It takes voices from all of us to help bend the City Administration’s plans once it has set a path like this one. The Duluth Monitor and when John was writing for the Reader exposed how little transparency the City provides. Thanks to everyone that wrote a letter to commissioners or councilors, spoke to their friends and neighbors, sent in an opinion piece to the DNT, attended public meetings or any type of support.
It feels like we are on a better track (pun intended) now for a great rail AND trail system that could be the jewel of the estuary and western Duluth’s river corridor communities.
This is a positive development (no pun intended). Thanks for the good work, John, of keeping this issue front and center.
