  1. Star Trib will also use this space in Wells Fargo Building as a field office for their continuing Duluth gentrification/recruitment campaign, a project which has been ongoing for years now.

Sidenote: I thought the other day about all the trees on 4th street which were viciously removed in the past 2 or 3 (4?) years. By the time they grow back to form a decent canopy, the former human admirers of those trees generally will not be able to afford living anywhere near them. For shame, Mr. Ness and awful, sold-out Ms. Larson.

  2. STRIB had an office in Duluth for many years staffed by Larry Oakes, one of their best journalists. They closed that office for “financial” reasons and Larry was reassigned back to the Twin Cities.

    • Those were the days. Glad to see they have more up here now. Duluth is a target-rich environment if they do a little work and not be the current news repeaters that the pay-for papers are.
