  1. Why does the zoo get almost $1,000,000 and no one raises any concerns? Why can’t our local public golf courses get any help for our local taxpayers to enjoy them? I think it’s time for the city to totally get out of the entertainment business and sell the zoo, aquarium, golf courses, the DECC. The time has come!!

  2. What a dismal town. Caged animals–alive, sentient creatures with feelings, instincts, etc.–as attractions. Folks need to examine their interests and what they are teaching their kids, and then remind themselves: resident taxpayers of Duluth pay for this trash, and our civic leaders name it “culture.” Somehow, incredibly, local folks seem to buy into it. Then, as “leaders,” they continue taxing people out of their neighborhoods. Also leave people snowed in while fresh, new BMWs from Minnetonka arrive in a freshly scraped Canal Park (yeah i seen it!) and hoard their tourism tax for their insider cronies, but state adamantly to the public, “TOURISM TAX MONEY CAN ONLY BE SPENT IN CERTAIN WAYS, IT’S THE LAW” (that we created that way…). I object to these leaders! I call SHAME on them all, maybe you should too!!!!
