  1. One of the things about Duluth city management that never fails is its complete inability to articulate a statement with actual numbers. Even in 2014, each statement is “if Duluth had lots of money…”. They never say how much money Duluth has or has not… just that “if Duluth had money…and for anything requiring improvement, Duluth simply has but no sufficient money.”

Meanwhile: Functional city government speaks in actual numbers.

  2. Thank you, John, for recording Birkerts’ comments. Those are precious comments that go with the building. But like most things in Duluth, they are ignored, stuffed in a hole, or forgotten. Too bad the lame comments by sheepish City Councilors that you quoted couldn’t be stuck in a hole.

We might have to resurrect all the false information that Jim Filby Williams told us about the library in 2016. Back then, his false energy claims were easy to dispute. Wonder if they ever fixed the malfunctioning HVAC system that he falsely claimed was “poor insulation”?
