Not only was Johnson Controls the company that pushed the infamous Red Plan, the person mentioned in the article, Jeff Schiltz, was one of those doing the pushing. He was promoting the Spirit Mountain Master Plan and the School District Red Plan simultaneously. Both efforts ended up quite well for him, if not necessarily for others.
Consultants suck up money like vacuum cleaners. How useful are they, really? How hard can it be to build water and sewer treatment plants? A few pipes, some glue, and there you go. Parasites.
As always, follow the money. Who’s approving the funds, who’s paying, who’s benefitting? Skepticism and suspicion are helpful.
